The shell is constructed from a carefully balanced 2 ply North American birch and 2 ply North American maple formula. This ultimate blended shell although thinner in construction delivers an authentically natural tone that comes alive on stage and in the studio. Tom fills with the Elite rack toms feel incredibly articulate and tuning becomes a whole lot easier with the 3mm undersized shells. This allows the drumheads to sit flatter over the bearing edge improving their tone and sustain.
