Sugar Bytes Egoist

The Sugar Bytes Egoist is a unique sampler with a slicer beat and bass section and an effect sequencer. Egoist makes it incredibly easy to sample songs having the ability to automatically chop up and rearrange samples. Each slice of the sample has separate pitch direction attack decay and volume controls. Egoist has its own sample library of 760 MB of sample material and you can import your own samples in either WAV AIFF or MP3. With the bass and beat section you can sequence drums and bass. For bass you can select either a square or saw wave for the oscillator and adjust parameters such as resonance decay and cut off modulation. The drum module is a standard no nonsense drum machine style sequencer with over 1000 drum samples arranged into 15 kits to utilise. The effects sequencer offers a dynamic approach to shaping your sounds. You can assign FX per step in the sequencer creating a much more varied and adjustable way to add effects to your music. Egoist sequences songs with a pattern based method similar to traditional hardware sequencers. Choose a sample a slicing setup an individual bass beat or effect to assign a pattern. You can easily integrate Egoist with your DAW using MIDI control and sequencing you can choose the sequencers clock host to be internal or via your host software or hardware.
