      This setup works great for me despite the recommended speakers being newer models ...

      I teamed this up with a older pair of 1030A midrange monitors. This setup works great for me despite the recommended speakers being newer models (K6,K8). I'd say that a small mixer is also essential if you want to avoid crawling around on the floor! I now have the whole range of frequencies in high clarity with the ability to ramp up the bass via my mixer for the erm.... odd track.
