The IK Multimedia SampleTron 2 is a deep emulation and sample library based upon retro tape sampling units. With over 400 tracks sampled directly from these rare vintage units you can get Mellotron style character at your fingertips immediately. Each preset can load three tracks and you get control to split layer and solo these tracks for flexible sound manipulation and sampling options. IKs tape modelling provides authentic tape character with adjustable wow flutter bias noise tape snaps and erosion ideal for lo fi sounds or high quality sampling with the warm harmonic distortion and vintage character that can bring your sound to life. With a wide variety of Mellotron models to choose from from the original M1 through the entire line to the digital Modern unit. However also included in the SampleTron 2 are detailed and authentic models of other legendary instruments including the Optigan the Orchestron the 360 System and the highly sought after VP330 analog vocoder. Deep preset editing and mixing capabilities as well as a synthesizer style filter and an amplitude envelope with velocity control per track you can load and tweak your own sounds with more depth than even the real thing!
