The kit was known for its ground breaking design superior build quality crisp tone and clear projection. The Tama Superstar classic features carefully selected maple shells offering a rich warm tonal character with brilliant mid and high frequencies. The shells are constructed with tone in mind focused intently on shell moulding. Whilst the bearing edge shape gives the drums their incredible ringing sustain and powerful projection. The maple shells are mounted using Tamas Star Mount system ensuring that the wood allows for an impressive projection and optimum ring with a tone that isnt muffled or muted at all.
