The Gibson Custom 1959 ES 335 Reissue Ultra Light Aged is a meticulous recreation of one of the most iconic semi hollow guitars ever produced. Built by the Gibson Custom Shop using detailed scans and studies of original vintage examples it captures the look feel and tone of the legendary 59 ES 335. The laminated maple and poplar body paired with a solid maple centre block delivers the warm resonance and sustain that made the ES 335 a favourite. Finished in Murphy Lab Ultra Light Aged nitrocellulose lacquer it recreates the subtle wear and character of a well preserved vintage instrument. A solid mahogany neck with a Medium C profile offers a comfortable period correct playing feel while the rosewood fingerboard provides smooth playability. A pair of Custombucker Alnico 3 pickups deliver authentic late 50s PAF style tones ranging from rich articulate cleans to singing overdrive. Vintage inspired components such as the ABR 1 bridge aluminium stop bar tailpiece and Kluson tuners complete the historic specification.
