The Maxon OD 9 Overdrive Pedal features an exact recreation of the original circuitry with the intuitive addition of true bypass switching. The only difference between the OD9 and the original OD808 is the output section which was altered to give the OD9 a more modern feel. This makes the outputted sound brighter and slightly less rounded so its all down to personal preference.
