The Bare Knuckle Halcyon 7 String Humbucker Set Open Black is a Mike Stringer signature pickup set created primarily for 7 string guitars tuned down to F#. Developed with Stringer Adam Nolly Getgood and Tim Mills the Halcyons combine the massive driven character required for modern metal with the versatility needed for Mikes distinctive clean sounds. Twin blade pole designs provide even string to string balance regardless of gauge or tuning while also making the pickups practical for multi scale fitment. The bridge uses three custom size ceramic magnets alongside a hot wind to control bottom end response and deliver a dialled in mid range and high end attack. The neck combines a more moderate wind with an isotropic Alnico V magnet increasing dynamic headroom and complementing the bridge for ambient cleans. Both pickups also provide exceptional coil split tones and work equally well wired in parallel extending their versatility beyond full humbucker operation.
