Pirastro Tonica 3/4 - 1/2 Viola A String

Pirastro Tonica Viola Strings are responsive and versatile with a nylon core in most of the strings in the set. These have a lively and well rounded sound with an even balance across all four strings. Tonicas have excellent projection and brilliance without any sacrifice to warmth. Pirastro have also managed to reduce the background hiss that can often be heard allowing for better pianissimo playing. The medium tension makes these suitable for all violas no matter the age or character of the instrument. The strings have a nylon core. Synthetic cores such as nylon provide resistance to temperature change and humidity allowing for more reliable playing in many environments without needing to worry about the tuning drifting too much.
