You can switch between using the pedal for controlling volume or expression by using the individual. When using Input 1 and Output 1 you can control volume whereas using the Output 2 allows you to use the pedal to control expression. You can also set the volume range for added flexibility allowing to set the range between 0 and approx. 50 percent.       I thought from Korg this would be a very solid unit but weighing just 450g and made from plastic it slides around a lot, and I end up looking under my keyboard to see where it's gone!
