Mellowmuse EQ2V is an emulation of a vintage four band hardware EQ. Recreating the exact colour and character of the hardware original EQ2V is perfect for adding vintage flair and timbre to modern sterile recordings. High and low shelves combine with a semi parametric midrange band and a high pass filter to sculpt and shape any instrument with your mix with ease. Further colouration can be applied by driving the output gain for analog modelled saturation character. Any increase in gain can enhance transient information causing unwanted percussive sounds which is why EQ2V employs a proprietary SofTran feature to tame signals with sharp transient peaks such as a snare or hi hat for smooth and balanced tonality.
